These wonderful and charming pine chairs stem from the Allmoge period.
This type of chair is often called “tolvslåstolar”, a name that refer to the 12 cross pieces that form the structure under the seat. These cross pieces, meant you could keep your feet off the cold floor, whatever your height. You won´t find modern screws or nails in these chairs as they are held together with traditional, wooden pegs. Some inititials and the year 1834 is burn-marked into the wood.
