This chest is beautifully painted and decorated with shades of blue, oranges and hints of green dated 1814 and initialled. This was originally used as a bridal chest featuring the classic interior "ledge" which is the interior storage box which was used for smaller valuables so that they wouldn't get lost in the bigger chest.
